Abstract

According to the Ministry of Tourism map (outgoing in 2017), Minia has three places on the path of the Holy Family: The monastery of Gabal Al-Tair in Samalut, El-Bahnasa in Bani Mazar, and El-Ashmonien in Mallawy, as well as the presence of several other places that have not been included on the map: Eshinin al-Nasari, Der Al-Garnous, the code of supervision, El-Abid.
This study discusses the current situation for the archaeological areas in the path of the Holy Family in Minia province which are known as archaeological sites:” Der Al Garanos in Maghagha, the village of Eshnin El-Nasara, the Village of El-Bahnasa, Dair Gabal Al-Tair Village, Samalout, Ashmonien, Mallawi, Ansna (Al-Shekh Ebada).
But also, the study focused on the essential sites that the Holy Family had to pass through which are unknown as archaeological sites, according to the historian’s writings, the manuscripts, and the remained heritage and antiques from the journey in Minia province.
The study focused on 6 historical sources in the first fifteenth centuries, to discover the new points passed through by the Holy Family have been inferred when they sought refuge to Minia Governorate. Historians mentioned them in their manuscripts, and they’re total of 20 points, but 6 of them are archaeological sites which known as the six study areas.
The study concludes some important result connected to the shortage in the essential services: infrastructure, also it suffer from the weakness of basic facilities and equipment that the community needs, such as transportation of various kinds, water feeding work, environmental reform work (sanitation and solid waste management), energy supply, electricity, communications and gas works, and these services represent the lifeblood of all activities.
The study ratiocinate the most problems that the local community suffer from such as dropout from education, lack of interest in adopting the quality of education in the village, the lack of job opportunities for a large segment of the local community’s population in tourism work, the low level of income for the working population, the slow implementation of decisions of tourism development and development plans, and the multiplicity and overlap of the responsibilities of the responsible authorities On the development of the region, as well as limiting the development programs to the well-known areas, the weakness of the infrastructure at the site and the random expansion of the most important reasons for the obstacles to sustainable tourism development in the six study areas El-Bahnasa, El-Ashmonien, Der Al-Garnous, Ashnein El-Nasara, Dair Gabal Al-Tair village, and El-Shekh Abada.
The study suggests some recommendation sterno the village of Dair Gabal Al-Tair, in the light of the study findings, the recommendations concerning the village of El-Ashmonien, in the light of the study findings and the recommendations concerning the rehibition the four remained study areas, in the light of the study findings, as well as set proposed plan to revival the archaeological site of El-Ashmonein.
