Abstract In this work we studied the effect of different concentrations of berberine, curcumin, and genistein on A549 lung cancer cells. In order to achieve our aim, we applied a set of assays and measured several parameters such as the cell migration, adhesion, and survival of cells. Furthermore, we measured the expression level of some genes that included in the pathways regulating cell-cell contact, cellular migration and growth capacity of cells. With genistein showed no significant effect on A549 cancer cells, the effect of berberine and curcumin varies from one assay to another. |
