Abstract
In the present study novel biologically active hydrogels were prepared via chemical modification of chitosan with diphenylsulfone - 3, 3`- disulfonylchloride under different reaction conditions to give new modified chitosan hydrogels (Cs-DPS-I, Cs-DPS-G-II, NCs-DPS-III, and NCs-DPS-G-IV). The new hydrogels were characterized and evaluated for their antimicrobial activities and drug delivery.
