Abstract

The current work aimed at adopting in-situ combinations of sono-precipitation and alkali hydrolysis, as a rapid technique, for starch nanoparticles preparation under ambient conditions with a high yield. Furthermore, improving the anticancer activity of a newly synthesised thienopyrimidine derivative with anti-pancreatic cancer action that has low water solubility and oral bioavailability. Results revealed the efficiency and the validity of the adopted technique in obtaining high yield (98.72% ±0.89) and spherical well-distributed nanoparticles. Results of in-vitro release and the in-vivo animal study showed the efficacy of starch nanoparticles on enhancing solubility and anticancer activity of the newly synthesized thienopyrimidine derivative.
