Abstract Chemotherapy is one type of cancer treatment that well-documonted and has long been used as radiotherapy or in combination with surgery or monotherapy to treat patients with cancer disease (Du and Shim, 2016). Chemotherapy include the use of chemical agents to stop the growth and remove cancer cells even at distant or remote sites from the origin of primary tumor (Tousson et al., 2014).Prolonged use of this agent cause many side effects on different organs including kidney, liver, lung, testis, bone marrow and brain. Because of drug excretion from the kidneys by glomerular filtration and active transport, nephrotoxicity occurs more than other side effects Mainly, this side effect restricts the use of MTX for treatment (Asci et al., 2017). |
