Abstract The present study was made to compare the accuracy of final dental implants prosthetic position guided by two different types of digitally designed stents (according to the manufacturing technique); stereolithography (SLA) versus fused deposition modelling (FDM). This study was an in vitro study, forty implants were inserted in ten maxillary models during this study; four implants in each model were inserted using two different types of stents according to their manufacturing technique, one type of stent (SLA) was used for inserting the two implants in the right side and the other type of stent (FDM) was used for inserting the two implants in the left side model. Pre-operative CBCT scanning with virtual implant planning on the Blue sky plan3 software were used to develop computer based surgical stents which were used to place the implants in the plastic models |
