Abstract Reduction of diabetes mellitus incidence is one of the family physicians aims in prediabetec population. The current ADA guidelines, EASD, and recent studies in the field of DM prevention highlight the benefits of using life style and pharmacological interventions in prevention or delay the progression from prediabetes to diabetes. Lifestyle intervention shows numerous benefits over pharmacological interventions. Lifestyle interventions are more effective in reduction of DM risk and highly cost-effective than pharmacological interventions. |
