Abstract

Premarital care is now considered necessity and obligatory for all couples getting to be married. Its importance comes from its role in early detection and recognition of diseases either genetic or infectious transmitted diseases. It helps in decreasing the incidence of these diseases through their transmission to sexual partners or offspring. This relieves major load on organizations and healthcare systems.
Premarital counseling is a very important tool for premarital screening of unmarried adult can be provided with adequate and valid information on genetic inheritance of the disease and what it means to be at risk. Premarital screening of genetic disease not only provides information about the health and wellbeing of the individuals but also it is important in assessing their health-related reproductive risk. It helps people concerned to make important and major life decisions that will benefit family members either now or in the future.
Also, PMC is the appropriate procedure, as it is commonly acceptable from the ethical and religious point of view in addition to its minimal economical, and health requisites.
Aim of the study:
The aim of the present work was to improve health outcome of marriage and health of their families and society by trying to assess the knowledge and attitude towards the premarital care services among attendants male and female coming for receiving premarital care service in Qwiesna family health center and their satisfaction by the provided services.
