Introduction: School activity occupies a distinguished position in contemporary educational thought, as it aims to enrich the curricula and give it a realistic and functional dimension. The enrichment is intended to enrich the educational program, and to provide students in the different educational stages with a new type of educational experience that differs from the experiences provided to them in the usual semester, in terms Content, level, expertise and intellectual originality.
Employing enrichment activities in the educational process is one of the most common programs in the world, as it is less expensive and more acceptable than teachers and students. The enrichment activities allow students to follow up on their studies by deepening the educational material and enriching the information in it to expand and deepen the cognitive outcome and deepen it in the general educational curricula, as well as accustoming students to independence such as self-reliance. .
Enrichment activities occupy a distinguished position in school physical education programs, as an effective way to satisfy the needs of students and meet the individual differences between them, which enables them to master the learned skills and develop their performance according to their motor levels without feeling bored. It also helps to stimulate students’ motivation towards learning, and make the learning environment more exciting. And exciting.
Enrichment activities supported by mental exercises play an important role in the motor learning process, as achieving the best level of motor skills performance requires an integration between the mind and the body, unlike some other fields; The average individual may perform his work and achieve the best results without needing high physical abilities. As for the sports field, both sides must be developed and integrated together.
Mental training plays an important role in the learning process; Therefore, we must realize the importance of using it for all ages of learners, and the earlier it is used at an early age, the better. It also supports the neural pathway that helps the correct performance in the next time to perform motor skills, and its application has begun as one of the main dimensions in the school curriculum in both Sweden. And Australia and like fifteen minutes of physical education lesson.
Mental exercises represent strategies that use mental skills such as mental visualization and others during the stages of motor learning to acquire and develop motor skills, where in the first stage the overall framework for the skill to be learned and the information associated with it is provided, and in the second stage it helps through exchange with motor performance, and in the third stage (which is Automated stage) All distractions are isolated and focus on performance.
Research problem:
Football is one of the team games in which the dynamic behavior is characterized by diversity and plurality, and the skill performance in it is characterized as a group of interconnected and integrated movements, which the student performs in the situation he is going through, depending on his abilities and physical competencies, his skills and psychological and mental states and their interaction all of them; In order to direct performance to a high degree of achievement and effectiveness.
mastering the motor skills of football is one of the basic factors for developing performance and reaching higher sports levels, and there is a close link between the physical, functional, mental, kinesthetic, and psychological abilities of learners, and the performance of football motor skills.
Despite the importance of basic motor skills in football as the basis for performance of complex motor skills in sports competitions, teaching these skills does not provide sufficient opportunities for their development among preparatory stage students; Which led to the presence of shortcomings and low performance of these students for those skills, and this is what the researcher noticed while working as a physical education teacher in the preparatory stage.
The researcher conducted an exploratory study on a group of 20 students in the third preparatory grade at the Martyr Hamdi Hefni Preparatory School in Al-Awamiya - Saqlata - Sohag, to identify the level of their performance in the soccer motor skills assigned to them in order to identify the shortcomings and weaknesses in their performance of these skills. And that is by applying a note card to the sample of the exploratory study, which included skill tests in some of the skills prescribed within the curriculum, and the researcher concluded that there is a weakness in the students’ performance of motor skills.
Based on the foregoing, the problem of the current research was determined in the low level of some football motor skills among preparatory stage students, and this is what prompted the researcher to conduct the current study using enrichment activities supported by mental exercises and investigate their impact on the development of some football motor skills among middle school students.
Search objective:
The current research aims to investigate the effect of using enrichment activities supported by mental exercises on the development of some motor skills in football for the following preparatory stage students:
A- Running with the ball.
B - control the ball with the foot.
C - control the ball with the chest.
D- deception.
research importance:
The importance of the research is clear that it may be useful in:
1. Achieving some of the goals of physical education, and trying to avoid some of the obvious shortcomings in the school physical education program in the preparatory stage, by developing some of the motor skills of football among the preparatory stage students.
2. Directing the attention of those in charge of teaching physical education towards the necessity of using enrichment activities supported by mental exercises while teaching motor skills in football for preparatory stage students.
3. The current research may be useful in providing officials and planners of physical education programs in designing contents that develop students’ motor skills through the use of enrichment activities supported by mental exercises.
Research hypotheses:
This research attempts to test the validity of the following hypotheses:
1- There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the pre and post measurements of the experimental group in some soccer motor skills (under research) for the preparatory stage students in favor of the post measurement.
2- There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the pre and post measurements of the control group in some soccer motor skills (under research) for the preparatory stage students in favor of the post measurement.
3- There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the two dimensional measurements of the experimental and control group in some soccer motor skills (under research) among the preparatory stage students in favor of the dimensional measurement of the experimental group.
search limits:
The current search is limited to the following:
1- A random sample of male only third grade preparatory school students at Al-Shaheed Hamdi Hefni Preparatory School in Al-Awamiya - Saqlata - Sohag, and they were divided into two groups, one of them is control and the other is experimental.
2- Some motor skills in football for the third preparatory grade, which are (running with the ball - controlling the ball with the foot - controlling the ball with the chest - deception).
Research materials and tools:
The nature of this research necessitated the use of the following materials and tools:
First: Research materials: The research materials consisted of the following:
A- The proposed educational units using enrichment activities supported by mental exercises.
B - The teacher’s guide to the proposed educational units.
Second: search tools:
Motor skills tests in the following football:
A- Running with the ball.
B - control the ball with the foot.
C - control the ball with the chest.
D- deception.
Research Methodology :
The nature of this research and the requirements of using the quasi-experimental approach necessitated to identify the effect of the proposed units and based on enrichment activities supported by mental exercises on the development of some motor skills of football for the third preparatory grade students. The experimental design was based on two groups, one experimental and the units were applied, and the other control It has the usual method in the school, and the use of the tribal and remote measurement method for the skill tests of motor skills for football (under research) for the students of the two research groups, and the post-measurement of the two groups.
search variables:
1- The independent variable: enrichment activities supported by mental exercises.
2- The dependent variable: the performance level of some soccer motor skills for the third preparatory grade students (under research.
Searching procedures:
To achieve the goal of the research, and to verify the validity of its hypotheses, the following procedures were followed:
1- A theoretical study on enrichment activities, mental exercises and some motor skills in football, by referring to some literature related to the current field of research, with the aim of benefiting from it in preparing the theoretical framework for the current research, and the theoretical framework included the following axes: (enrichment activities - mental exercises - motor skills for football).
2- Preparing research materials and tools, including the following:
