Abstract

SUMMARY
Liver disease has become a serious problem these days. In addition, there are no medicines that are effective in treating liver disease without side effects or can protect the liver from damage.
For these reasons, it has become necessary for herbal products to replace chemical treatments.
Olive oil and almond oil have been known in alternative medicine to treat many disorders such as digestive and respiratory disorders.
This study was conducted to evaluate the possible protective effect of liver using olive oil at a dose 3 ml / kgand almond oil (3 ml / kg) orally carbon tetrachloride (1.25 ml / kg I/P ) inducedhepatotoxicity model in rats. This effect has been tested by biochemical and histopathological changes.
The experimental design has been developed as follows: -
Fourty adult male albino rats were classified into fourequalgroups: -
group (1):-Control (fed on a basic diet).
group (2):- CCl4(received a basic diet and on the 29th day of the experiment rats received carbon tetrachloride diluted in paraffin oil (1: 1) at a dose (1.25 ml / kg body weight) by intraperitoneal injection).
