Abstract

The experience of exile is the most prevalent phenomena in the twentieth century. It includes voluntary and involuntary displacement. The importance of exile had increased on an unprecedented scale and had created many diasporic communities. The Arab community is one of them. This study focuses on the case of Arabs in America because they are considered to be the most sufferer group in the US. The study is divided into four chapters, besides an introduction, a conclusion, and a list of works cited. The First Chapter, entitled ―The Universal Experience of exile: Arab Experience in America”. The Second Chapter, entitled ―Abu Jaber and Halaby as Voices of Suffering and Nostalgia”. The Third Chapter , entitled ”Abu Jaber’s Crescent and Halaby’s Once in a promised Land as post 9/11 novels”. The Fourth Chapter, entitled ―Abu Jaber’s and Halaby’s mastery of Narrative Technique‖.
