Abstract Egyptian National Railways (ENR) is the second constructed railway in the world after the British Railways. It is also one of the largest railway networks in the world with a passenger volume of 1.4 million passengers per day. The purpose from thesis is to make early detection of the crack to guarantee safe stop of the train vehicle with respect to the barking distance needed to stop the train according to its speed. Transmission line model is a model built for detection of railway track’s cracks. The crack distance detected in this model equal to 1722 meter with respect to the barking distance for 120 km/hr train that equal to 766 meters. Non-Destructive testing model is used for obstacle detection is performed by tuning fork test and obstacle distance of 1192 meter is obtained with respect to the barking distance for 120 km/hr train that equal to 766 meters. |
