Abstract It was studied the protective role of turmeric, ginger and n-acetylcysteine on heat stress and the experiment was in the form of 4 groups: control, turmeric powder (5g/kg diet), ginger powder (7.5 g/kg diet) and and n-acetylcysteine (100mg/Kg diet). These groups were allocated in thermoneutral (22 ± 4 °C) and heat stress (34 ± 2 °C) conditions. It was evaluated clinical symptoms, growth performance, hematological indices, lipid profile, serum glucose, liver and kidney function tests, MDA, SOD, T3, T4, CORT hormones, HSP70 and HSP90. The results showed the negative effect of heat stress and it was improved through the addition of turmeric, ginger and n-acetylcysteine. |
