Abstract The Tools of Study The study relied on acollection of unpublished documents such as the Sanni Muayya documents, the Ministry of Public Works, Abdeen documents, Foreign Ministry documents, Muhammad Ali’s family Diwan, as well as some Arabic references, foreign references and Arabic periodicals. Methodology Historical study from the oldest to the new Results 1-Khedive Ismail ordered the building of the opera house on his own expense and then referred it to the government later. 2- The cost of building the opera house is one million six hundred thousand francs, not one million six hundred thousand pounds, where the value of 25 francs in that period was equal to the Egyptian pound, which cost the Opera House sixty four thousand Egyptian pounds. 3- The decision to establish the Opera House was on May 5th , 1869, not as thought by some people as they thought that the decision to build it was in mid-April or early 1869. 4-The House took the name of the Khedivial Opera House after the name to Khedive Ismail, the Sultanic Opera House was attributed to Sultan Hussein Kamel, the Royal Opera House was attributed to King Fouad, and then the Egyptian Opera House due to abolishing the monarchy and the announcement of the Republic by the appointment of Mohamed Najib as President of the Republic. At times, it is called the opera Teatro, and the Teatro here means Theatre . Thus, it is clear that the change of the name of the opera was in accordance with the political change that the country was going through and this is a conclusive evidence of the close relationship between art and politics. Recommendations: 1- Sending school visits to the Opera House to encourage tourism and promote the internal economy. 2- Incorporate the Opera House into tourism programs to promote cultural tourism and deepen external relations. 3- The old garage of the old Opera is to be revisited due to its high cultural and artistic location. It is possible to create a small museum with all the treasures of the burning opera house, to be a cultural center and a historical landmark for future generations. 4- There should be some suggestions and recommendations that can contribute effectively to the control of dangerous fires, as well as the cooperation of the concerned authorities such as the fire and industrial security and research centers, to the extent of the possibility of applying these recommendations from the scientific point of view and to benefit from them in this field to preserve important installations that represent economic value or Art does not compensate. |
