Abstract

Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) is a state-of-the-art technology mainly aimed at enhancing E-healthcare systems. It provides incredible support by wireless transmission of patient data over a negotiated distance, keeping patient status still monitored by the daily transmission of vital data indications to the receiver. The protection of personal health data of the patient is a critical issue when these data are transmitted to the final user through wireless channel (doctors, nurses, family members or other approved persons) where medical decisions are taken on the basis of the data obtained.
