Abstract
Scar is the end result of wound repair process in the skin.Atrophic scars are very common and has different etiology such as acnescars, chicken pox and trauma. Facial scars causepsychological stressand decrease self-confidence Acne vulgaris is a common disease caused by multiple factorswhich result in damage of pilosebaceous unite during acneinflammation which stimulate wound healing process. Atrophic post acne scars are the commonest type of post- acne scars.There are many therapeutic modalities for treatment of atrophicscars specially post acne scars, including chemical peels, laser dermabrasion, micro needling, dermal filler and subcision. Each ofthese procedures has a different role in treating acne scars, with some modalities being better suited for certain scartypesthanothers.Combination of treatment can offer the best chance of significantimprovement.
