Abstract
This study to prove whether iron-deficiency anemia associated with subclinical hypothyroidism may indicate treatment of subclinical hypothyroidism and to assess the efficacyofLevothyroxinewith oral iron Ahead medicine about iron-deficiency anemia connected with subclinical hypothyroidism as opposed oral iron alone.
This study was done at the Endocrine Cinic,Zagazig University Hospitals. This study included a total number of 45patients of SCH with IDA; 15 patients for representedlevothyroxine group , 15patients represented Ironlevothyroxine group and 15 patients representedIrongroup . Patients wererandomlyassignment to ferrous sulfate (100 mg/d elemental iron) andlevothyroxine (50 mcg/d ) for 90 days of therapy. ChangeinHb, Hct, serum Iron, serum ferritin , FreeT4 and the were compared among groups before and after the study.
