Abstract

The objectives of the present study were to determine the ability of specific biotic inducers i.e. {Bacillus sp., Pseudomonas sp. and Trichoderma), and abiotic inducers i.e. (SA, JA, IAA, Eth and Bio) elicitors to induce systemic resistance in pepper toward the root-knot nematode M. incognita.
The objective of the present study is to throw light on the following points:-
1. Screening seventeen cultivars of pepper for resistance to root-knot nematodes, M. incognita and M. javanica
2. Influence of fungi (spores and filtrates) and bacteria (cells and filtrates) in controlling root- knot nematode, M. incognita infecting pepper plants under greenhouse conditions:
3. Induction of resistance system by some inducers i.e. (SA, IAA, JA, Eth and Bio) against root-knot nematode, M incognita infecting pepper plants under greenhouse conditions.
4. Study the histological changes in infected roots by nematode and treated with (SA, IAA, JA, Eth and Bio).
5. Induction of resistance system by some chemical inducers i.e. (SA, IAA, JA, Eth and Bio) in controlling root-knot nematode, M. incognita infected pepper plants (California wonder) under greenhouse condition by split -root assay.
