Abstract
The present study was performed in an attempt to evaluate the histological and ulrastructural alterations that occurred in the albino rat’s oral mucosa a.fter oral administration ofMTX therapy with and without VA. This experiment was designed to involve the following groups:
Control groups
group I (control group): Consisted often rats. Each rat was given 2 ml saline orally every morning using an angulated metal canula connected to a syringe to ensure delivering of the saline into the rat’s esophagus.
group II (control group of VA): Consisted often rats. They were given oral vitamin A daily inl a dose of 5,000 IU\kg body weight using the orogastric tube for four days.
Experimental groups
group 11/: Consisted often rats. They were given oral methotrexate daily m a dose of 15-mg/kg body weight using orogastric tube for four days.
