Abstract
Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common form of chronic joint disorders. The pathogenesis of OA is a complex process affecting the whole joint as an organ. Articular cartilage (AC) is unique unicellular biological tissue. The main function of AC is to maintain a smooth frictionless movement and ensure mechanical load absorption and dissipation in the joint.
