المستخلص The present study aimed to measure The effectiveness of a training program to develop self-management and its impact on the quality of life of mothers of children with autism. The researcher selected a sample of 10 mothers of autistic aged 3-6 years, enrolled in the Haqqi Ataalam Center in the city of Mansoura in the Dakahlia Governorate, to apply the study tools, which were represented in the Self-Management Scale for Mothers (the researcher’s preparation), and the Quality of Life Scale (Prepared by the researcher), and the training program for mothers of children with autism disorder (Prepared by the researcher). The researcher applied the study tools and the training program over a period of (11) weeks, at a rate of (3) sessions per week, to reach the total number of program sessions (33) sessions during the period from 1/10/2019 to 1/1/2020. In the current study, the researcher relied on the quasi-experimental approach, in order to verify the main objective of the study, which is to measure the effectiveness of a training program for the development of self-management and its impact on the quality of life of mothers of children with autism. The results of the study indicated that : in the study’s training program being acceptable as effective in developing self-management among mothers of autistic children, and there is a significant impact on the dimensions of self management represented in (time management - taking responsibility - managing emotions - self-confidence - planning and setting goals) on the dimensions of Quality of life represented by (the quality of physical health - the quality of family and social life - the quality of mental health - the quality of economic life) of mothers of autistic children. |
