Abstract
The main aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of enriching video clips in improving some EFL oral communication Skills of preparatory stage pupils. The participants were one hundred pupils; they were selected randomly and divided into two groups with fifty pupils in each: a control group and an experimental group. A pre / post Oral communication skills test was developed by the researcher and was used as the study tool. The two groups were Pre tested using the test tool of the study. Then , the control group was taught using the procedures in the teacher’s guide of the ministry of education ,but at the same time the another group (the experimental group) was taught using some enriching video clips related to the content of first prep English text book first term. The two groups were post tested using the same test tool. Results of the study showed a significant difference between the mean scores of the control group and the mean scores of the experimental group on the post test in favour of the experimental group .The differences were a result of teaching the proposed program. According to the study findings, teaching English as a foreign language with some enriching video clips was effective in developing some EFL oral communication skills of the first Year preparatory stage pupils. So, some recommendations were addressed.
