المستخلص

The study aimed at identifying the effectiveness of a program based on using electronic mental maps in reducing the intensity of academic procrastination and in modifying the attitude towards their use in education for a sample of students of the fourth grade of Special Education, Faculty of Education, Damietta University and identifying the relationship between electronic mental maps and reducing the intensity of academic procrastination. The study sample consisted of (60) male and female students of the fourth grade of the Faculty of Education, Special Education pecialization. The experimental group consisted of (30) students and the control group consisted of (30) students. The study used the following tools to achieve its objectives (The Measurement of The Academic Procrastination, The easurement of The Attitude towards using Electronic Mental Maps in education, and a program based on using electronic mental maps in education). The study results showed that there were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the students of the experimental group in the pre- and post- measurements of the academic rocrastination in favor of the pre- measurement, there were statistically significant differences in the mean scores of the students of the experimental and control group in the post measurement of the academic procrastination in favor of the control group, there were statistically significant differences in the mean scores of the students of the experimental group in the pre- and post-measurements of the Attitude towards using electronic mental maps in education in favor of the post measurement and there were statistically significant differences in the mean scores of the students of the experimental and control group in the post-measurement of the Attitude towards using electronic mental maps in education in favor of the experimental group.
