Abstract The incidence of lung cancer has increased remarkably representing one of the main causes of cancer mortality world widely, and constitutes a major economic burden for health care systems (Hochhegger et a 2015). Non-small cell lung cancer accounts for 85–90% of all lung cancers including three main types adenocarcinoma, squamous-cell carcinoma, and large-cell carcinoma (Ambrosini et al 2012). Surgical management of early-stage NSCLC by means of anatomical lung resections remains the gold standard therapy (O’Sullivan et al 2019). |
