Abstract
In this chapter, an introduction is dealing with a number of topics such as water and water pollution, conventional water treatment and objectives, stages conventional water treatment plant, drinking water treatment using activated carbon, advanced oxidation technology, ion exchange technology, and membrane processes. The recent water treatment processes are also included in the introduction section. potassium permanganate, microwave, and ultrasound technology.
