First: The Study Problem:
Many scholars have unanimously agreed that the stage the child spends at home has a profound, lasting impact on the individual’s psychological and social life, and the presence of parents is of great importance in the child’s life. His normal personality, and exposes him to many psychological, behavioral and social problems and many disorders, Here comes the role of social institutions concerned with childhood, which place at the forefront of their services the welfare of the child and work to improve family conditions, The housing institutions seek to provide organized activities and contribute to solving problems and improving the social conditions of orphaned children, and these activities include the efforts of various professionals, including social workers, doctors, nurses, legal professionals, and teachers, The social work profession has roles to play in the light of the appropriate framework for the implementation of the law regulating work in housing institutions. These roles include giving orphans desired social behaviors, modifying undesirable behaviors, and teaching them social roles that are appropriate to their capabilities through the activities that are presented to them. As it is possible through social work to take advantage of all available resources in society, and through trained social workers who have distinct skills to enable these orphan children to face their problems, and they also contribute to the development of working methods in housing institutions and in achieving social functions, and in the same context the way to serve the individual as one of the Social work methods seek to help orphaned children who want a life free from behavioral disturbances, and it is practiced through a social worker by carrying out a series of organized behavior aimed at influencing the internal stresses of the child. Tim, modifying trends and ideas and behaviors that stand obstacle to social performance, The social worker is the professional responsible for practicing social work in the field of childhood, and the performance through which the goals of the profession are achieved through adherence to its principles and philosophy, and therefore it can contribute with other professionals in achieving the desired development in society, Also, the social worker’s success is due not only to his mental intelligence, but also to another type called emotional intelligence, which is one of the important concepts that entered into human resources management. In the twentieth century, the focus was on mental intelligence as one of the determinants of the level of employee performance in Institutions, but some scholars believe that emotional intelligence is more important in determining the level of employee performance, and that it will witness great interest as an indicator of professional success in particular and success in life in general, and one of its features helps to control impulses and emotions, and regulate moods Rather, facing the problems of life that need to be resolved positively.
Second: the importance of the study: -
1- Children represent the broad segment of the international community, as there are 38.9 million children in Egypt from birth until the age of eighteen (male children 20.1), (female children 18.8), and this number represents 40.1% of the total population in 2018.
2- Childhood, creating the future and the society that keeps its children, supports its progress and achieves the desired development.
3- Childhood issues occupy a distinguished rank at the international and local levels, represented in the issuance of international and domestic legislations concerned with childhood affairs.
4- The increasing interest of governmental institutions and civil society organizations in the care and protection of children.
5- Childhood care is one of the most important areas in which the profession of social work is concerned. It is through the field of childhood that the profession contributes to development issues, especially the development of human resources, through housing institutions.
6- The casework works to reduce the severity of the disturbances and pressures experienced by orphans in housing institutions.
7- Emotional intelligence is one of the important directives in the behavior of the social worker.
8- Contributing in directing the attention of officials to the importance of emotional intelligence, vocational adjustment in the life of the specialist, and personal interest in delving deeper into this topic.
9- This study derives its importance by being related to professional life (the field of work), an area that needs a lot of research and studies so that we can reach solutions that help in achieving vocational adjustment.
10- The lack of research and studies in the social work in general and in the case work in particular - within the limits of the researcher’s knowledge - that dealt with the relationship between emotional intelligence and vocational adjustment of social workers in housing institutions.
Third: objectives of the study:
1- Determine the relationship between the level of self-awareness and vocational adjustment of social workers in housing institutions.
2- Determining the relationship between the level of emotions management and vocational adjustment of social workers in housing institutions.
3- Determining relationship between the level of motivation and its relationship to the vocational adjustment of social workers in housing institutions.
4- Determine the relationship between the level of sympathy and vocational adjustment of social workers in housing institutions.
5- Determining the relationship between the level of social skills and vocational adjustment of social workers in housing institutions.
Fourth: Study hypotheses:
1- There is a positive relationship with statistically significant level of self-awareness and vocational adjustment of social workers in housing institutions.
2- There is a positive relationship with statistically significant level of emotions management and vocational adjustment of social workers in housing institutions.
3- There is a positive relationship with statistically significant level of motivation and its relationship to the vocational adjustment of social workers in housing institutions.
4- There is a positive relationship with statistically significant level of sympathy and vocational adjustment of social workers in housing institutions.
5- There is a positive relationship with statistically significant level of social skills and vocational adjustment of social workers in housing institutions.
Fifth Study Concepts:

Sixth: Methodological Procedures of the Study:
(1) Type of study:
This study is one of the descriptive and analytical studies.
(2) Method used of study:
The study relied on the study relied on the methodology of the social survey in a comprehensive survey method for social workers working in housing institutions.
(3) Study tools:
Data collection tools were:
1- Scale for the emotional intelligence of social workers in housing institutions.
2- Scale for vocational adjustment of social workers in housing institutions.
(4) Areas of study:
(A) The human sphere:
The human sphere of study is determined as follows:
The social workers working in the housing institutions, and they are (25) social workers, and they were collected in a comprehensive way.
(B) Spatial domain:
The spatial field of study on the housing institutions in the governorate of Assiut, namely Dar Al-Safa, Dar Al-Hanan, Fruit of Faith, Al-Shaimaa Association, is represented by Layan Tracher
(C) Time domain:
It is the period of data collection from the field which started from 11/4/2019 to 16/5/2020.
Seventh: Study Results:
(1) Regarding the first hypothesis of the study: Determining the relationship between the level of self-awareness and vocational adjustment of social workers in housing institutions.
* The results of the study concluded that the relationship between the level of self-awareness and vocational adjustment of social workers in housing institutions.
has reached the percentage of the dimension as a whole 68.50%, which is a ratio located at the middle level.
(2) With regard to the second hypothesis of the study: ”Determining the relationship between the level of vocational adjustment and its dimensions among the study sample from social workers in housing institutions.”
* The results of the study concluded that the relationship between the level of vocational adjustment and its dimensions among the study sample of social workers in housing institutions has reached the percentage of the dimension as a whole 79.50%, a percentage that falls at the high level.
(3) With regard to testing the validity of the third hypothesis of the study: “There is a positive relationship with statistical significance between the dimension of self-awareness as one of the dimensions of emotional intelligence in terms of vocational adjustment and its dimensions among the study sample of social workers in housing institutions.”
* The results of the study demonstrated that the variable of self-awareness as one of the dimensions of the emotional intelligence scale was positively related to vocational adjustment and its sub-dimensions, namely (the relationship of the social worker with his work, the relationship of the social worker with his colleagues at work, the relationship of the social worker with clients at work, and the overall degree of vocational adjustment as a whole) which are values of all D At the level of significance of 0.01, while we find that self-awareness as one of the dimensions of the emotional intelligence scale was not related to a function of the nature of the wage variable as one of the dimensions of vocational adjustment among the study sample of social workers housing institutions.
(4) With regard to testing the validity of the fourth hypothesis of the study: ”There is a positive relationship with statistical significance between the dimension management of emotions as one of the dimensions of emotional intelligence by vocational adjustment and its dimensions with the study sample of social workers in housing institutions.”
* The results of the study proved that the emotional management variable as one of the dimensions of the emotional intelligence scale was positively related to vocational adjustment and its sub-dimensions, namely (the relationship of the social worker with his work, the relationship of the social worker with his colleagues at work, the relationship of the social worker with clients at work, and the total degree of professional compatibility as a whole) which are values of all D At the significance level of 0.01, except for the relationship of emotions management after the relationship of the social worker with his co-workers, the relationship was indicative at the significance level of 0.05, while we find that the management of emotions as one of the dimensions of the emotional intelligence scale was not related to a function of the nature of the variable As one of the professional compatibility dimensions of a sample study of social workers housing institutions.
(5) With regard to testing the validity of the fifth hypothesis of the study, ”There is a positive relationship with statistical significance between the motivation dimension as one of the dimensions of emotional intelligence by vocational adjustment and its dimensions among the study sample of social workers in housing institutions.”
* The results of the study proved that the motivation variable as one of the dimensions of the emotional intelligence scale was positively related to my dimension (the relationship of the social worker with his work, and the relationship of the social worker with the clients at work) as one of the dimensions of vocational adjustment, which are all values of D at the significance level of 0.01, while the dimension of motivation at the significance level 0.05 The overall degree of vocational adjustment as a whole, while we find that the motivation dimension as one of the dimensions of the emotional intelligence scale was not related to a dimensional function (the nature of the remuneration, the relationship of the social worker with his co-workers) as one of the dimensions of vocational adjustment among the study sample of social workers in housing institutions.
(6) With regard to testing the validity of the sixth hypothesis of the study: ”There is a positive relationship with statistical significance between the sympathy dimension as one of the dimensions of emotional intelligence by vocational adjustment and its dimensions with the study sample from social workers in housing institutions.”
* The results of the study demonstrated that the sympathy variable as one of the dimensions of the emotional intelligence scale was positively related to vocational adjustment and its sub-dimensions, namely (the relationship of the social worker with his work, the relationship of the social worker with his colleagues at work, the relationship of the social worker with clients at work, and the overall degree of professional compatibility as a whole) which are all values D when The significance level is 0.01, whereas we find that sympathy as one of the dimensions of the emotional intelligence scale was not related significantly to the nature of the wage variable as one of the dimensions of vocational adjustment among the study sample of social workers in housing institutions.
(7) With regard to the validity test of the seventh hypothesis of the study: ”There is a positive relationship with statistical significance between the dimension of social skills as one of the dimensions of emotional intelligence by vocational adjustment and its dimensions with the study sample of social workers in housing institutions.”
* The results of the study demonstrated that the variable of social skills as one of the dimensions of the emotional intelligence scale was positively linked to vocational adjustment and its sub-dimensions, namely (the relationship of the social worker with his work, the relationship of the social worker with his colleagues at work, the relationship of the social worker with clients at work, and the overall degree of vocational adjustment as a whole) which are values of all D. At the significance level of 0.01, while we find that social skills as one of the dimensions of the emotional intelligence scale were not related significantly to the nature of the wage variable as one of the dimensions of vocational adjustment among the study sample of social workers in housing institutions.
