Abstract Water is the foundation of all life on Earth. Clean water scarcity is a massive and a great challenge worldwide. Accordingly, water pollution becomes more and more serious trouble due to the fast growing of the global population. Phenols are categorized as a one of the most serious hazardous pollutants in wastewater since they are harmful to organisms even at low concentrations. Thus, phenol decontamination from wastewater is necessary to preserve water environment clean and safe. Among different techniques for phenol removal, the adsorption technique is considered the most extensively used route for wastewater treatment. |
