Abstract Homogeneous charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) is a progressive combustion technology in internal combustion engines because of its potential for high fuel conversion efficiency and enormously low particulate matter (PM) and Nitrogen Oxides (NOx)emissions. In HCCI engines, there is no direct control technique for auto ignition time. A communal method to indirectly control the ignition timing in HCCI combustion engines is altering the parameters of the engine which can affect the combustion. Earlier research has showed that fuel chemistry has a strong influence on HCCI combustion. This work presents a new predictive multi-zones model for the clarification of combustion in HCCI engines. |
