Abstract
A phytochemical and biological study has been carried out on Ocimum forskolei Benth. which belongs to family Lamiaceae. Metabolomic analysis of different extracts led to dereplication of 45 compounds. Phytochemical study led to isolation and identification of 18 compounds by different chromatographic techniques and spectroscopic tools. Biological investigation of different fractions led to highlighting of the the aqueous fraction as anti-inflammatory, the DCM fraction as anti-ulcer, the ethyl acetate fraction as local anaesthetic and the aqueous fraction as anti-epileptic.
