المستخلص The study deals with the economic effects of the establishment of a multi-activity system in the Suez Canal area (a comparative applied study) and the competitiveness of the channel as the most important water artery of the international trade between East and West and the factors that lead to the development of its revenues. The applicable fees are the basis for estimating the direction to raise fees or to grant discounts in the future. The characteristics and importance of the channel’s location in relation to the most important maritime straits reflected the formation of a strategic maritime system with a high degree of interconnectivity.
