Abstract

Staphylococcus aureus is one of the most important pathogens in food poisoning. Milk and milk products are incriminated in food poisoning outbreaks. Food poisoning causes nausea, vomiting.This study was performed to detect the frequency of contaminated dairy products by S. aureus and the presence of enterotoxins genes in the isolated S. aureus strains.120 samples of Milk and Milk products were collected randomly from different areas in Prot Said governorate. Using Multiplex PCR technique, Staphylococcal enterotoxin genes were isolated from all positive samples of S. aureus .Staphylococcal enterotoxin genes were isolated from of milk and heavy cream, yoghurt, in cheese and in Unsalted butter.Staphylococcal enterotoxin (A) gene was highly, while enterotoxin (B) gene . Double enterotoxin genes (sea and seb) were reported .
