Abstract
The ECG is a key component of clinical diagnosis and management of in-patient and out patients because it may provide critical information and recognizing of life threatening conditions such as acute myocardial infarction, sever hyperkalemia or hypokalemia, hypothermia, certain types of drugs toxicity that may induce cardiac arrest. The aim of this work is early detection of ECG changes in non-cardiac patients who come to emergency department with several complains and their cardiac manifestation and early management of their causes in Emergency Department Mansoura University Hospitals, Hurghada general hospital and Nasr institute hospital for research.
Our study include 400 patients in three different hospitals were collected as the following data 200patients from Emergency Department Mansoura University Hospital, 100 patients from Nasr Institute Hospital for research and 100 patients from Hurghada General Hospital. Divided into 2 groups’ traumatic patients and non traumatic patients. And the results were as follow: 129 patients traumatic and 261 patients non traumatic. Risk factors as Diabetes mellitus 194patients ,202 patients Smoker (40 cigarette per day or more), 151 patient were obese(moderate to marked obesity) and finally 96 patient as drug abusers.
