Abstract This study was done to determine the prevalence and types of headaches in epileptic adults and evaluate any relationship with epileptic seizures and if they differ from the non-epileptic population in patients attending Suez Canal University Hospital neurology clinic. Sixty two subjects divided into two equal groups. The epileptic group of thirty one subjects aged from 18 to 46 years and fulfilling the diagnosis of epilepsy according to the 2017 international league against epilepsy (ILAE) Commission report (Scheffer et al., 2017). The non-epileptic group aged from 19 to 38 years. In both groups different types of headache were diagnosed based on the international classification of headache disorders, 3rd b-version (ICHD-3b) (Cephalalgia, 2013). |
