Abstract The balance of the sagittal plane of the spine is necessary for both function and body shape. The relationship between the spine and the pelvis is becoming essential (34). Spinopelvic alignment plays a vital role in preserving an effective posture in the normal and spinal diseased people (7). Sagital alignment of the spine and pelvis in standing, and walking position is wildly varied in different individuals (2). The aim of this work was to study the sagittal balance parameters in Egyptian patients with low back pain. The study included 80 patients with low back pain. The mean age of all patients in this study was 41.20 ± 8.92 years, the youngest was 25 years and the oldest was 64 years. 23 patients (28.8%) were males and 57 patients (71.3%) were females. 21 patients (26.3%) were Roussouly type 1 and 9 (11.3%) were type 2, 39 (48.8%) were type 3 and 11 (13.8%) were type 4. |
