Abstract IoT is born when more things connected via the internet like human beings. According to the Forecasts by the end of the Year 2020, approximately 30 billion devices will be deployed on the planet earth. Another estimate anticipates approximately 1000 devices for each person by 2025. IoT is at the center of overlapping Internet-oriented (middleware), things oriented (sensors), and semantic-oriented (knowledge). M2M is what provides the IoT with the connectivity that enables capabilities, which would not be possible without it. The main problems of M2M communications are resource allocation, satisfaction of Quality of Service (QoS) and addition of the massive number of M2M devices into the cellular networks make a massive race to existing (H2H) devices for getting radio resources, and that affects the performance of the H2H communications. Because of universal coverage and global connectivity, cellular networks can play a significant role in the deployment of M2M applications. characteristics of H2H communication are different from that of M2M in terms of traffic volume. |
