Abstract
Diabetic patients in Egypt were 8.2 million in 2017 that caused Egypt to be the ranked country all over the world in the number of diabetics. In 2045 the number is expected to be 16.7 million and Egypt will be 6th anked country in the number of diabetic patients The most important complication of diabetes is peripheral neuropathy which results in diabetic foot ulcers. Amputation in people with diabetes is 10 to 20 times more common compared to those of non-diabetic people Every 20 seconds somewhere in the world someone loses a leg due to the complications of diabetes. After such amputations, over half of these people will die within 5 years.
