Abstract A total of 60 random samples (30 samples of raw farm bulk cow’s milk and 30 butter) were collected from different farms and supermarkets of dakahliah Governorate, Egypt.. All samples were extracted, clean up and analyzed by gas liquid chromatography for determination of organochlorine and organophosphrus pesticide residues. Seven OCPs and six OPPs pesticides residues were detected in 14 raw farm bulk cow milk. All pesticides residues in the positive raw farm bulk cow milk samples exceed MRLs except chlorpyrifos. Five OCPs and five OPPs pesticides residues were detected in 11butter samples. All pesticides residues in butter samples are higher than Maximum Residue Limits. The public health importance of pesticides as well as the suggestive control measures were discussed. |
