Abstract The present work was conducted to study nutrigenomics and nutrigenetics of different types of dietary microalgae in BR and LH. The work has been done in three experiments: Experiment 1: was conducted on BR to study nutrigenomics of dietary DHA- rich microalgal (Aurantiochytrium) biomass through: 1) Production of DHA-rich BR meat with lower n-6/n-3 ratio. [FAs profile analysis in different BR tissues “breast muscle, thigh muscle, liver, adipose and plasma” by GC]. 2) Exploring the metabolic effect of high dietary DHA on BR via assaying lipid (TGs, TC and NEFAs) and FAs profiles (GC) in plasma, liver, breast muscle, thigh muscle and adipose tissue. 3) Investigating the systematic changes in different genes controlling lipid metabolism in key regulatory tissues; liver and adipose. (gene expression analysis via qPCR). 4) Detecting the effect of DHA-rich diets on growth performance of BR during the experiment. (BW, BWG, FI and FCR). |
