Abstract
\Some Studies On The Effects Of Extract Of Origanum Vulgare, Origanum Majeure and Echinacea Purpurea On Seabass
Medicinal plants are the main sources of natural antioxidants. Generally, fish fat contains higher levels of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA). This is due to the relatively high content of phospholipids in the membrane structure of the muscle cells .
Essential oils are volatile oils, natural vegetable products obtained from extracted by steam and/or water distillation plants. Most essential oils consist mixtures of compounds luck as phenolics and polyphenols, terpenoids, saponins, quinines, esters, flavones and flavonoids, tannins, alkaloids and nonvolatile residues; and their chemical composition and concentration of compounds is variable.
* This study aimed to investigate :
• The various hematological parameters namely; Erythrocyte, leucocytic count, Hemoglobin, Hematocrit (%), MCH, MCHC (g/dL) and differential leucocytic count
• The various immunological parameters namely; phagocytic activity and phagocytic index, respiratory burst activity and lysozyme activity, total IgM level, total protein (g/L); albumin (g/L) and globulin.
* This study was carried-out on :
To evaluate the immunological effects of Echinacea and Origanum oil of Origanum majeure and Origanum Vulgare as the feed additives, seven nursery earthen ponds were stocked by 3000 fingerlings of sea bass were used in private fish farm at El-Diba region Domitte Province, Egypt. The fish weighted ranged between (40 to 50 g / fish) .
The treatments with different types of essential volatiles oil and concentrations of both Echinacea and Origanum oil of Origanum majeure and Origanum Vulgare .
* Our results concluded that :
1. Our results on cellular assay cleared that, the total WBCs and RBCs showed a higher level in the group treated with EP6, EP2, EP5 and EP4 at the end of the experiment especially at the 6 weeks of experiment.
2. The Hemoglobin level cleared that, the highest level of Hb level observed in the groups treated with EP6, EP2 and EP4 at 6th week of treatment.
3. Our results on the effect of different types of essential volatiles oil of both Echinacea and Origanum oil of Origanum majeure and Origanum Vulgare for 6 weeks mixed with sterilized dry diet on main blood parameters in fingerlings of sea bass fed cleared that, the hematocrite%, MCV, MCH and MCHC level, improved in the groups treated with EP6, EP2, EP5 and EP4 at 6th week of experiment..
4. Our results on differential leucocytic count in fingerlings of sea bass fed different types of essential volatiles oil of both Echinacea and Origanum oil of Origanum majeure and Origanum Vulgare for 6th weeks mixed with sterilized dry diet, cleared that, the higher level of Neutrophils, lymphocytes, eosinophils, basophils and monocytes observed in the groups treated with EP6, EP2, EP5 and EP4 at 6th week of experiment .
