Abstract

Visceral adipose tissue-derived serine protease inhibitor (vaspin) is a relatively novel adipocytokine with protective effects on metabolic diseases and exerts anti-inflammatory and anti-migratory roles through anti-oxidative effects in vascular smooth muscle cells in peripheral vascular wall so it can prevent the development of hypertension. (kameshima S et al ;2016)
Previous studies have demonstrated that vaspin exerts a protective effect on arteries undergoing atherosclerosis in vitro and exerts protective effects on heart disease that low vaspin concentrations correlate with coronary artery disease (CAD) severity and unstable angina pectoris. (Zing lin etal ; 2016)
Aim of work: This study aims to show the role of serum Vaspin level on Hypertensive patients as regard severity and complications.
PATIENTS AND METHODS : The study conducted on 87 patients , 66 hypertensive patients and 21 healthy volunteers as control group. Vaspin level was measured by ELIZA.
RESULTS: Vaspin level decrease in hypertensive patients and continue decreasing as complication develop.
