Abstract Acute right lower quadrant abdominal pain is one of the most common causes of presentation to the emergency division. In most patients presenting with acute right lower quadrant pain, acute appendicitis needs to be excluded.Patients may present with a wide variety of clinical manifestations, and the diagnosis may escape even the most qualified clinicians. The clinical diagnosis is established primarily on the patient history, physical examinations and laboratory investigation. While the clinical diagnosis may be straightforward in patients who present with classic signs and symptoms, atypical presentations may result in diagnostic misperception and delay in treatment. This study was aiming to evaluate the role of Multislice Computed Tomography(CT)in patients with acute right lower quadrant (RLQ)abdominal pain. This study was conducted on 30 patients presented with acute rightlower quadrant abdominal pain. Their ages ranged from 13 up to 85 years old, with a mean age of 37 years old. 20 of them were females, while the remaining 10 were males. All the studied patients were subjected to full history taking, thorough clinical examination and laboratory investigations |
