Abstract

The research aims to study the Chemical and Photo-chemical Studies of Natural Curcumines and Synthetic α,β-Unsaturated Carbonyl Compounds. This research content three parts, Part 1. Synthesis of some biologically active heterocycles based on chalconoid and curcuminoid compounds. Chalcones (α,β-unsaturated ketones) are an important group of natural or synthetic flavonoids that are known to exhibit an impressive array of biological properties. Particularly, their antimicrobial and antifungal action is attributed to the reactive enone moiety. As Michael acceptor enone, reactions of chalcones are modulated by electron withdrawing / donating character of substituents at the para positions of the aromatic groups. This part have some point, Synthesis of coumarin scaffolds linked to pyridine or pyrimidine moieties, Synthesis of new 4-arylidene-thiazolidin-5-one scaffolds, Synthesis of new curcumin derivatives containing sulfathiazole. Part 2. Phot-oxygenation reaction of 3-acetylcoumarin (1) and its chalconoid compound (3b), Part 3. Biological activity Anti-cancer, in final the research study Structure Activity Relation (SAR).
