Abstract • Introduction:left atrial appendage has a complex anatomical and morphological and has different ways for imaging as TEE, MDCT and CMR• The aim of work: Assessment of left atrium appendage morphology by 3D transesophageal echocardiography and its relation to thrombus formation.• Research Plan: This study was carried out between February 2017 and February 2018 on 60 patients underwent TEE in Specialized Medical Hospital, Cardiovascular Medicine Department, Mansoura University.• Results:in our study non chicken wing shapes associated with higher prevalence of SEC and thrombus formation.• Conclusion: 3D TEE may provide widely available, radiation free and cost efficient free imaging approach in risk stratification regarding thrombus formation in low to moderate risk patients.. |
