Abstract
143 The thesis deals with studying the corrosion and corrosion inhibition of copper in 0.5 M HNO3 using some plant extracts as inhibitors. The thesis comprises three main chapters;In chapter I, An introduction, which deals with the following field’s: definition of corrosion, importance of corrosion studies, classification of corrosion, types of corrosion, methods of corrosion protection, corrosion inhibition in acid solutions and the electrochemical theory of corrosion In chapter II, Literature Survey on copper corrosion inhibitors followed by the aim of the present work.
