Abstract

Introduction: Classification of trauma scores and comparison between Injury Severity Score (ISS) versus Revised Trauma Score (RTS) in polytrauma patients. The aim of work: The aim of this work is to study the outcome value of RTS in comparison to ISS in multiple trauma patients and try to find a relationship between initial scores and their outcome. Research Plan: This is a study which has been conducted on 200 patients presented to Mansoura University Emergency Hospital over 6 months, and analysis whether those patients either: survival or death, admission or discharge. Results: This study revealed that RTS was better than ISS in predicting mortality among polytraumatized patients. Conclusion: On the light of this thesis RTS was better than ISS in predicting mortality among polytraumatized patients.
