Abstract

To compare the coagulation effect of Fastact ( Seraseal) against Tranexamic acid to stop the bleeding after dental extraction. Materials and Methods : The study included 100 patients requiring a one-year excision and patients were divided into four groups. Each group received 25 patients. The first group was the negative control group and did not receive any substance to stop the hemorrhage. The second group received only gelfoam, a positive control group. The third group received gelfoam with tranixamic acid, the main evaluation criterion was to compare the time of bleeding following the extraction of teeth using the fastact and compare it with other research materials. Results: Postoperative hemorrhage was assessed using grades 1, 2, 3 and 4. We found that there were 3 cases of the third group and 19 cases of the fourth group were assessed in 1, 19 cases of the second group, 22 cases of the third group were evaluated in class 2, in addition to 8 cases of the first group and 6 cases of the second group, And finally, only 17 cases of the first group were evaluated in grade 4. Among the results, we found that the third group was better than the second group, and the fourth group was better than the third and second group. All research groups are better than the control group. We have found that there is a big difference between the four groups with respect to bleeding scores. Conclusion : Our findings suggest that the use of Fasatact (Seraseal) may be a safe and effective addition to current hemostatic strategies to stop hemorrhage.
