Abstract

Intra hepatic collaterals and Caudate lobe hypertrophy was more in patients with PHG than in those without, with highly significant difference between the two groups. Liver mottling appearance was more in patients with PHG than in those without, with non-significant difference between the two groups.
Due to small group of gastric varices in our study, we cannot statistically calculate their predictors. So, we can describe only this group as follow: GV was more common in male patients (66.7%), common in chronic presentation (86.7%), most common etiology was MTHFR (40.0%), tirade of abdominal pain and hepatomegaly and ascites were the most common presentation, all hepatic veins occluded in all patients and PV thrombosis in 86.7% of patients.
To assess different clinical, biochemical, ultrasonographic and Doppler parameters which might non-invasively predict the presence of esophagogastric varices in Egyptian Patients with Budd Chiari Syndrome.
