Abstract Childhood asthma is a significant health problem in children under the age of 18years that could be life threatening. It is a chronic inflammatory disorder of the airways that causes wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath. Asthma remains a significant cause of morbidity, school absenteeism, parent absenteeism from their working days; many reported a dmission of children at emergency departmentand their hospitalization. Becaus child and caregivers participation in care is a very important aspect in health care, shared decision making is important that patients and clinicians engage in a partnership synthesize the best - available medical evidence based assessment and inclusion of patient’s values, needs and preferences to arrive at the optimal health related decisions for the patient The purpose of the study was to: - Assess the effect of triadic shared decision -making on asthmacontrol in school age children. |
