Abstract

Service-oriented Architecture (SOA) is an architectural paradigm for developing distributed applications. It adds different specifications and advantages over traditional distributed systems. Web service is the best architecture for SOA. One of the main challenges in web service environment is its security framework. This is cause of the requirements of both participants of a web service. In web service, the security management is based on the requirements of both sides of a service. Intelligent technique for web service security management is proposed and addressed. Besides security, privacy of the data transferred between two sides is another challenge that is also addressed. An intelligent techniques is used for management of both security and privacy.
This thesis contains six chapters in addition to references. First chapter presents introduction for the thesis. Research motivation, challenges, and major contributions are discussed. Chapter two presents a back ground on Service Oriented Architecture SOA especially web service. It introduces SOA technologies. Also, security challenges of SOA. Besides, a negotiation for requirements for web service participants is discussed. The third chapter presents related work for SOA security including matching requirements and security of a web service. Besides security, privacy of a web service is also discussed. Chapter four presents SOA security management framework and experimental results. It contains all components of the framework with their detailed description. Besides, it addressed the experimental results of this framework. Chapter five contains the privacy management framework for SOA web service environment and its experimental results. Finally the sixth chapter presents conclusion and future work of the research work.
