Abstract
Tuberculosis (TB) is a growing international health concern. It is a big killer among the infectious diseases in the world, after years of decline, TB has re-emerged as a serious public health problem worldwide, especially with thepresence of new Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains which hinder the success of TB control programs.
The aim of this study was toidentify the outcomes of tuberculosis treatment in patient recorded in Assiut Chest Hospital during the period from2011 to2015 and investigatefactors associated with undesirable outcomes .Also, the study aimed to estimate proportion of drug resistance among Tuberculosis Patients and patients’ compliance and identify factors associated with them.
The study was a descriptive retrospective review of TB patients’ registry.
